Creating Vizlib Control Chart
This section describes how to create Vizlib Control Chart.
Before you start, make sure that you have loaded your dataset to Qlik Sense app and have your opened your sheet in the Edit Mode. Then, follow these steps:

Go to Assets > Custom Objects. A list of objects is displayed.

Find Vizlib Control Chart and drag and drop it into the sheet. Qlik simple wizard is displayed.

In the wizard, add a dimension and a measure. Qlik Sense displays Vizlib Control Chart based on the dimension and measure you have selected.
Note: Vizlib Control Chart supports one dimension and one measure.
You have successfully created a control chart. You may now configure the chart using properties included in the Property Panel.
Configuring Vizlib Control Chart
This article describes how to configure Vizlib Control Chart for end users.
Before you start, make sure that you have performed the steps from the Creating Vizlib Control Chart section.
See the Properties article for specific information on properties available for Control Chart configuration.

Navigate to Property Panel. There, you can find all the sections containing properties for configuration.

In the Data handling section, define the Data downloading property. By default, it's set to Intial loading for optimum performance.

Navigate to Advanced Analytics > Calculations and configure the Ignore selection in calculations property. The property decides how the software calculates the average (Avg), upper control limit (UCL) and lower control limit (LCL) when a user makes a selection on the chart.

Navigate to Advanced Analytics > Runs and trends to decide whether the software displays runs and trends. You can enable both runs and trends, or enable only one property.

(Optional) Define the Run length or Trend length, or both, depending on the properties enabled in step 4.
You have configured Vizlib Control Chart. If you want to adjust the chart visually, go to Configuring Vizlib Control Chart Appearance. Otherwise, the chart will use default appearance settings.
Configuring Vizlib Control Chart Appearance
Before you start, make sure that you've properly created and configured Vizlib Control Chart.

Navigate to Property Panel > Appearance. There, you can find all the sections containing appearance settings.

(Optional) In the General section, configure the Show Title and Show Hover properties and define the Title, Subtitle, and Footnote.

(Optional) In the Alternate States section, choose a value for the State property.

(Optional) In the Colors section use the color picker tool to define the color for each visual element of the control chart.

(Optional) In the Mini chart section, enable the mini chart and define the Max data points property. If enabled, Vizlib Control Chart displays the mini chart at the bottom.
You have defined the appearance of Vizlib Control Chart. You can change the settings at any time to adjust the chart appearance to end users needs.
Vizlib Control Chart User Guide
As an end user, to use Vizlib Control Chart, you need to have your sheet opened in the Analysis Mode.
You can make selections on Vizlib Control Chart by clicking on one or more data points or by choosing a range of points.

You can use the Mini Chart feature to analyze a specific range of data points. For more information on the Mini Chart, see Vizlib Control Chart Properties.
While working with Control Chart, you may notice the points that are placed above or below the UCL or LCL. These are Out of control points.
