Configure Vizlib Hi

Before you start configuring Vizlib Hi for your end users, download the extension from the Vizlib Portal and import it into your Qlik Sense environment.

Additionally, make sure that:

  • You have accepted insightsoftware AI Acceptable User Policy.

  • If using Vizlib Teamwork, you have at least version 4.0.0 of the software. In this version, Vizlib Hi component is enabled by default. If your Teamwork is at least 4.0.0 version, but you have existing applications created with older version of the extension, you need to manually enable Vizlib Hi in Property Panel > AI > Use AI.

  • You application is opened in the Edit Mode.

  • You have configured Content Security Policies for AI use. For details, see Content Security Policies - Configuration.

  • The Disallow AI usage on organization level property in User Portal  > Account > Settings is disabled.

To configure Vizlib Hi, follow these steps:

  1. Drag and drop Vizlib Hi or Vizlib Teamwork into your Qlik sheet.

    [Vizlib Hi standalone extension] You can proceed to step 2.

    [Vizlib Teamwork] Click the arrow at the top-left corner of Vizlib Teamwork. The software opens the Conversations section where AI is available for configuration.

  2. In the Property Panel > AI >LLM Provider section, define the LLM provider by selecting one of the following options:

    • Lineos AI - insightsoftware AI which is used by default. If you choose this option, you may skip to step 5.

    • Vizlib Server - enables you to connect to a third party LLM configured on your Vizlib Server. If you choose this option, the software displays additional section called Vizlib Server. To find out how to configure it, see steps 3 and 4.

  3. Select the Stream you added in Vizlib Management Console to connect with AI.

  4. (Optional) Enable the Override Server URL property and define the following fields:

    • URL

    • Port

    Note: This configuration is helpful if you want your extension to connect to a specific URL instead of Vizlib Server.

  5. Navigate to Property Panel > AI > System Prompts. The software displays the following system prompts to define:

    • Base Prompt - A general prompt, explaining the context and expected outcomes.

    • SummaryPrompt - A prompt explaining how AI summarizes data.

    • Compare Prompt - A general prompt explaining how AI compares data.

    • Hidden InsightsPrompt - A prompt explaining the expected outcome in the context of hidden insights analysis.

    Note: If you are a Freemium user, you can't define system prompts. In this case, the software will always use the default system prompts for data analysis.

  6. Use the toggle next to each option to determine if the software uses Custom or Default system prompt. If you've chosen the Default value, you may skip step 4. The system will use default prompts.

  7. If you've chosen the Custom value for any system prompt, define your own prompt in a dedicated text box.

  8. In Property Panel > AI > Default Questions define the following options:

    • Suggest Questions - If enabled, Vizlib Hi will generate and suggest relevant questions using AI automatically.

    • Default Questions - You can define the default questions that will always be displayed for the user in a given extension.

Result: You have configured Vizlib Hi standalone or Vizlib Hi component in Vizlib Teamwork for the end users. Now, they can start analyzing data.

Customize Vizlib Hi

You can customize the appearance of Vizlib Hi.

Define Titles for Vizlib Hi

In Vizlib Hi, you can define the visualization titles. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Property Panel > Appearance > General.

  2. Enable Show titles. The software displays the fields to define title, subtitle, and footnote for Vizlib Hi.

  3. Define title, subtitle and footnote. Title appears at the top of the visualization. Subtitle appears right under the title. Finally, the footnote is displayed at the bottom of the extension.

  4. (Optional) Enable Show hover menu. When enabled, menu displays automatically on hover.

You have defined titles for Vizlib Hi.

Edit Global Themes for Vizlib Hi

You can edit global themes for Vizlib Hi.

  1. Navigate to Property Panel > Appearance > Global Theme Colors.

  2. Locate a theme you want to modify.

    • You can edit the following themes:
      • Main Color

      • Main Text Color

      • Action Color

      • Action Text Color

      • Tooltip Color

      • Tooltip Text Color

      • User Message Color

      • User Message Text Color

      • AI Message Color

      • AI Message Text Color

      • AI Message Accent Color

      • AI Message Tag Color

      • AI Message Tag Text Color

  3. Select a color icon next to the selected theme. The software displays the options to pick a color:

    • From a grid.

    • From a color spectrum.

    • From recently used colors.

  4. Select Apply.

The theme for a chosen property changes to a selected one.

Collapse Vizlib Hi

If you want your Vizlib Hi to occupy less space on your sheet, you can enable a collapsed mode. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Property Panel > Collapsed Mode.

  2. Use the Collapsed Mode toggle to enable the feature.

When the collapsed mode is enabled, the software replaces Vizlib Hi with an icon that you can drag and drop wherever you want on the sheet. The icon occupies much less space than the regular extension.

Additional Settings

For Vizlib Hi, you can also configure the following settings:

  • Toolbar visibility - you can enable or disable toolbar visibility in Property Panel > Interactivity > Components Visibility.

  • Alternate States - you can configure alternate states in Property Panel > Alternate States.
