Configure Vizlib Hi

Before you start configuring Vizlib Hi for your end users, download the extension from the Vizlib Portal and import it into your Qlik Sense environment.

Additionally, make sure that:

  • You have accepted AI Acceptable User Policy.
  • If using Vizlib Teamwork, you have at least version 4.0.0 of the software. In this version, Vizlib Hi component is enabled by default. If your Teamwork is at least 4.0.0 version, but you have existing applications created with older version of the extension, you need to manually enable Vizlib Hi in Property Panel > AI > Use AI.
  • You application is opened in the Edit Mode.
  • You have configured Content Security Policies for AI use. For details, see Content Security Policies - Configuration.
  • The Disallow AI usage on organization level property in User Portal  > Account > Settings is disabled.

To configure Vizlib Hi, follow these steps:

  1. Drag and drop Vizlib Hi or Vizlib Teamwork into your Qlik sheet.

[Vizlib Hi standalone extension] You can proceed to step 2.

[Vizlib Teamwork] Click the arrow at the top-left corner of Vizlib Teamwork. The software opens the Conversations section where AI is available for configuration.

  2. In the Property Panel > AI > LLM Provider section, define the LLM provider by selecting one of the following options:
    • Lineos AI - AI which is used by default. If you choose this option, you may skip to step 5.
    • Vizlib Server - enables you to connect to a third party LLM configured on your Vizlib Server. If you choose this option, the software displays additional section called Vizlib Server. To find out how to configure it, see steps 3 and 4.
  3. Select the Stream you added in Management Console to connect with AI. For more information, see Using AI with Vizlib.
  4. (Optional) Enable the Override Server URL property and define the following fields:

    • URL
    • Port

This configuration is helpful if you want your extension to connect to a specific URL instead of Vizlib Server.

  5. Navigate to Property Panel > AI > System Prompts. The software displays the following system prompts to define:

    • Base Prompt - A general prompt, explaining the context and expected outcomes.
    • Summary Prompt - A prompt explaining how AI summarizes data.
    • Compare Prompt - A general prompt explaining how AI compares data.

    • Hidden Insights Prompt - A prompt explaining the expected outcome in the context of hidden insights analysis.

If you are a Freemium user, you can't define system prompts. In this case, the software will always use the default system prompts for data analysis.

  6. Use the toggle next to each option to determine if the software uses Custom or Default system prompt. If you've chosen the Default value, you may skip step 4. The system will use default prompts.
  7. If you've chosen the Custom value for any system prompt, define your own prompt in a dedicated text box.
  8. In Property Panel > AI > Default Questions define the following options:
    • Suggest Questions - If enabled, Vizlib Hi will generate and suggest relevant questions using AI automatically.

    • Default Questions - You can define the default questions that will always be displayed for the user in a given extension.

Result: You have configured Vizlib Hi standalone or Vizlib Hi component in Vizlib Teamwork for the end users. Now, they can start analyzing data.
