Sankey Chart overview

Vizlib Sankey Chart from insightsoftware is a customizable extension for Qlik Sense that lets you create and visualize flows and splits between your data. Vizlib Sankey Chart supports one measure and multiple dimensions, and it's a type of flow diagram in which the width of each link represents the metric volume moving from one dimension to another.

Vizlib Sankey Chart features include:

  • A fully customizable Sankey chart with formatting options.

  • Transitions between selection states for a better understanding of how your data is filtered.

  • Interactivity modes such as zooming, vertical dragging, and rearranging dimensions.

  • Sorting of dimensions.

  • Coloring options by node, dimension, or measure.

  • Support for alternative dimensions and measures.

  • Full interactivity support and the ability to make the chart read-only.

  • Support for alternate states.

  • Conditional show and hide of dimensions, so you can drill down through your data.

Examples

Figure 1 shows a Vizlib Sankey Chart in analysis mode, where you can show more details using the tooltip and rearrange values within the chart. Figure 2 shows an employee count by city and department, and Figure 3 shows a product breakdown by product line, region, and year.
